‘A Cosmic Christmas’ debuts on Channel 4
A science fiction Christmas? Why not? A “Cosmic Christmas” is just that and will air at 7:30 p.m. Friday Dec. 9, on Channel 4.
The whole family will enjoy the story of three beings from outer space (and their friendly mascot) who land in a small town on the planet Earth with a specific mission: discover the meaning of an unusually bright star that appeared in the proximity of Earth 2,000 years ago. With the help of a small boy, Peter, and his pet goose, Lucy, along with Peter’s family and the townspeople, the visitors from outer space see much that Christmas has become but was never meant to be.
Then, in a series of adventures, chases and near tragedies – interspersed with music and merriment – the real meaning of Christmas comes shining through, as brightly as the Star of Bethlehem shone in the sky 2,000 years ago.
