A second batch of animation cels from Animation Legends have arrived. Check out what I got this time…
So in my last post I mentioned my cel order was stuck in British Columbia with Canada Post. I was getting antsy, worrying about missing out so I went ahead and ordered another four packs of cels before the first order of two arrived. When the first order arrived I was excited and relieved to see that what I got was good and a good deal.
Now comes the second bundle. I was still nervous to get them, to make sure it was worth it, especially since on this order I got charged cross-border duty (the bane of Canadian online ordering, since it’s unknowable and practically impossible to contest). So on this order I got a 10% discount, but got an extra 25% added onto the total, so it was pricey, but not prohibitively pricey. And I was happy to pay it considering very shortly after ordering, they ran out of A Cosmic Christmas bundles to sell, so I got in while the getting was good. Happy about that, for sure.
And the quality of the next batch? Happy with that too. Only one that was a close match with one from the previous batch, which is fine, and a good sampling of different characters and poses. I’m unusual in that I’m happy with different odd characters that others might not be as thrilled with. Very happy to get one of the bunny, even though he’s a weird addition to the special and hardly one of the biggest draws I imagine, but I was very happy with the quality and variety of what I got. Here, take a look for yourself:
And that’s it I guess. Certainly for now. They’re sold out, so no more buying for me, and I couldn’t afford more at the moment even if more popped up, but I’m I’m not discounting the idea of buying more in the future if they do pop up. I’ve been pleased with what I’ve gotten and the price was a good deal I think. How many cels does one man need? Well that’s a different question, but thankfully at the moment it’s moot. I’ll just sit back and enjoy the ones I got. Thanks Animation Legends!
