This may be my favourite A Cosmic Christmas find. I found it in a Value Village one day right down the street from my house. I had one of those gulp moments where you look at it, but don’t process what you’re seeing. Took me a second, but then I knew. I grabbed that record and I got out of there with it as soon as I could. I was elated. I had no idea such a thing existed. I’d never seen it on the internet or heard of its existence. When I got it, as far as I knew, it was the only one in existence, and because of that, I passed up the opportunity to have Sylvia Tyson herself sign it when she appears with Quartette for a Christmas concert. My logic on that was, I didn’t want anyone (even Sylvia) marking it up. I hope I get the chance again, because I’d love to hear if she remembers any stories from its recording.
I’ve since entered the details into Discogs.com, and added additional information as I’ve found them. Amusingly, when discussing the album one time, a record shop owner had Discogs open and was telling me about the album and I was able to say I knew, because I’d written it. I’ve since gone on to buy every copy I’ve seen (5), and given three away to people who would enjoy them. I had heard a rumour online that there was a lyrics insert in the record. so I had to purchase a still-sealed copy to check it out, and there was no lyrics sheet. Oh well, at least I can say unequivocally that there isn’t one. It’s a great album, with great songs, so I’m very glad to have found, and shared, each copy.

So the sealed copy I bought didn’t have a lyric sheet, but apparently there were other copies that did include lyric sheets. John A. was good enough to send me photos of the lyric sheet he found, and the hype sticker on the cover showing which had the lyric sheet. That’s pretty cool, and thanks John so much!
